Computer workouts
Q: What are some exercises I can do at home to energize myself when I'm working at the computer? Thanks!

A: Joanna,
Thank for using our "Ask A Trainer" section of our website! To answer your question, there is only a couple of things that you can do while you are setting down at a PC.
Use "Isometric" exercises. What is that? That means you flex a muscle and hold it tight for very short period of times, such as 30 second intervals. The only things that you can flex while setting down at a desk is your abs, calves and glutes (the glutes will only partially flex while setting down).
I suggest that you replace you desk chair with an large exercise ball. If you sit on an exercise ball at a desk, it helps you posture and works your core muscle just a little bit.
Obviously flexing muscles at your desk will only do so much. To get in shape, you have to exercise for real! To do that generally speaking you need to go to the gym.
