Flatter Stomach

Q: "How can I flatten my stomach and does using protein shakes help with that?" - Vicky from Statesville

A: Easy answer first, protein shakes are just a substitution for actual food protein sources. We do NOT recommend only eating a protein shake diet.
Protein shakes are great for adding protein to your diet especially if you don't always have access to meat or other protein sources.

The question about "how can I flatten my stomach" is a lot more of a complex answer. First off, there is no way to reduce just the fat off of your stomach. Unfortunately it is a scientific fact that you can't reduce fat in only certain areas, normally referred to as "spot reduction".

So how to lose fat??? The age old question! If I could write a paragraph or two and that would be all you need, I would, but is a lot more complex than that.

Here are some basics:
1. Workout with weights/resistance training 3-5 times per week.
2. Cardio after the resistance training.
3. Stretch during and after your workout.
3. Eat 4-6 small meals per day to keep the metabolism burning.
4. Eat a low saturated fat, low sugar, low sodium diet, with a protein source with all of your meals.
