Michelle Mattison - Week nine

Hello ZX Fans,

It’s the end of week 9 and I am definitely continuing to notice some very positive changes as we progress. Along the way, there have definitely been some habit modifications that I believe are attributing to my success.

As I reflect on past diets and programs I’ve been a part of, I can honestly say that this time around I have an unwavering resolve that I will succeed and adapt a healthier lifestyle.  Why this time, you may ask? As I get older, I see all of the issues that have plagued those near and dear to me. I want to shift that paradigm and become a positive example for my family.

One of the greatest behavioral changes that has made a great difference for me is keeping a food journal. This helps keep me accountable and focused on making better food choices.  So many times we don’t realize how much we are eating on a daily basis because most of us are eating on the go and not really taking an account. My food diary definitely helps me stay on track.  It also helps me identify where I may need to tweak if I am not seeing results.

Also, until now, I didn’t realize that I needed to EAT MORE to lose. Because of my schedule, one of my poorest habits was to not to fuel my body throughout the day but to eat one large meal and sometimes nothing else. While I know the best diet is one of balanced, prepared meals; sometimes this is just not my reality.  As a result, I’ve incorporated nutritious meal replacement shakes, protein bars, nuts and other healthy snacks to ensure that I’m always prepared every few hours to feed my body, even on the go.  A busy lifestyle is no excuse to be unhealthy. Adequate planning has made a tremendous difference for me and my success.

These are just a couple of the changes that I’ve made that are helping me reach my weight loss and fitness goals.  Be inspired to begin your journey!

Until next time,

Michelle
