Nate White - Week nine
Hello ZX,
Man oh man, 2 full months in this challenge. It definitely is a marathon. I am loving it though, and the more progress I make, the more I want to keep it up. I am finally in the "teens" in body fat, and I can see a big difference in my body, I'm loving it.
The main thing that I attribute my success so far in this competition is consistency. Even though every day brings in different challenges and different obstacles for getting into a fitness routine, I have made it a point in my life that I WILL exercise and I WILL take care of myself. That is the most important thing to me: the ability to set my mind on something and go for it. Also, having a workout routine that interests me and challenges me is a must. No one wants to do the same old thing day in and day out. In my workouts I definitely mix up my cardio by running outside instead of the treadmill, or doing football drills instead of lifting weights, or anything that will keep me excited and wanting to come back and workout again. Its also good for your body to mix in different routines so it doesn't get used to anything.
The main thing I am doing differently in this competition that I haven't done before is planning out my meals for the week, planning out my workouts, and rewarding myself for doing something that is healthy. It's not rocket science, but it does take a good amount of self control and discipline.
