Tula Bright - Week eleven

1 WEEK LEFT…

THIS MUST BE WEEK 11…OMG!!

I always felt like my weight didn’t affect my life, negatively or positively.  I found myself at the doctor’s office getting my blood pressure medicine adjusted again, saying, “no thanks to a girls night out” because I had nothing to wear.  I realized that my weight was affecting my life!  LYX was right on time, for me.   I was pleasantly surprised to have been chosen to be one out of eight.  I was filled with excitement when I was announced as being one of the four contenders to loZe your eXcuse.  

I began exercising every day for at least an hour. Weight training and group fitness was incorporated in my fitness program. I increased my water intake (1 gallon a day).  I was overwhelmed with advice regarding dieting; I knew I didn’t always eat to satisfy hunger.  It took some experimenting to figure out what works for me; one size doesn't fit all.  I knew it was important that I felt satisfied after a meal.  I’ve become more conscious about what I’m eating and how much I’m eating.  I chew my food slowly verses just swallowing (really).  I’ve become a lot more mindful in choosing my foods wisely.  If I over indulge to satisfy a sweet tooth, I won’t stress or give up. It doesn’t mean all my hard work goes down the drain.  I’ll do better on the next meal. 

Learning to change my eating habits is one of the many changes LYX has done for me.  It’s always been my greatest struggle.  LYX has also allowed me to take the time to really get to know me from the inside out (sounds corny, I know, but it’s true).  I am happier, healthier, and more motivated in every aspect of my life.  I am more confident socially, and at work, where I believe that I can and will succeed!  I’m going to reach my goal and maintain it…  Slow and steady wins the race… (To a longer life) I got this!!!
