Tula Bright - Week nine
Week 9… You have got to be kidding me
I’ve been on my share of diets over the years, including Weight Watchers (which works), South Beach, Atkins and Slim Fast. I lost weight with all diet losing more weight with some vs. others. The weight always found its way back. I’m so excited about my results this time for numerous reasons. I know I put in the work; no fad diet, no shot, no pill, nothing but, old fashion HARD work. I believe the accountability has played a big role for me being accountable to LYX, trainer, Facebook friends and surprisingly local gym members that have come to know my face due to advertising of the loZe your eXcuse competition within the gym.
Discipline is another factor. I drag myself out of bed early in the morning and complete my routine in time to get ready for work. Having enough
discipline to avoid my favorite junk foods and eat the healthier foods day in and day out. Diet to me is the important aspect of weight loss (you are what you eat). I won’t deprive myself if I’m having a craving, but moderation is the key. I’ll continue to be mindful in regards to how much and what I’m eating. I have to have enough discipline to go to the gym, regardless of how I feel, and stay until I complete my exercises, not when I am tired. I’ve found activities that I enjoy at the gym. Loving the results and getting my sexy back in addition to a healthier me will be my motivation to maintain the new me... Trust and believe I’m not naïve enough to say I’m not going to have a setback such as a day of skipping workouts, or maybe a late night binge. .
What separates the success from failure is the ability to push on, regardless of setbacks. Tomorrow is a new day - just do better the next day. I won’t give up. I won’t ever throw in the towel because of a bad day and allow it to filter and fester into a bad week, bad month, or a bad year. Mind over matter...
